After coming home from the big city this afternoon I found a broadcast email from our CEO.

The subject line was: HR Responsablities[sic]

The following line is copied verbatim out of the email:

To the extent that you have any questions in these or related areas please contact Jane Doe. Confidentially will be subject to strict adherence to the highest standards.

What the fuck?

And the email ended with this disclaimer:

By the way, Jane Doe is his personal assistant. So when you discuss with her how the incompetence of upper management is causing low morale, you can be sure the conversation will be strict adhered to highest confidentially standards.
