Sunday, So Far
Woke up earlier this morning, oh, probably around 8 or so, to the sound of pouring rain. It took a while before the fact that it was raining sunk in. I rushed out of bed to close all the windows, and searched for my rain gear in that state of morning haze.
I went outside. Boy was it raining. I quickly checked the cars to make sure the windows were closed, then went to the backyard to carry the mulch and the soil into the garden shed. Oh, the joys of home ownership.
Lola, of course, was a complete wuss. She wouldn't even stick her nose out in the rain. We are going to have fun this winter getting her to go to the backyard to do her business.
When I came back inside I discovered a few spots where there are leaks. More things to worry about.
You know, this American dream stuff is pretty cool when the temperature is perfect and it's sunny and you're hanging out on the deck with some fresh off the grill food and a cold drink. It ain't so nice when you have to worry about what the hell do I know about leaky windows or how much is this going to cost me. But the good and the bad always come in the same neat little package, don't they?
On the upside, approximately 27 minutes ago I obtained four tickets to the PJ Harvey show at the Warfield. Can you believe they charge $7.30 per ticket processing fee? What a scam!
